Sinus irrigation is a process were a persons nasal cavity is flushed out with a solution which removes excess mucus which can build up in the nose and sinus. Many sinus irrigation products are available including saline sinus sprays, nasal baths and nebulisers which work by softening the mucus membranes.
Sinus irrigation can be beneficial to a patients breathing and general comfort. It is especially useful where an underlying breathing problem is present.
In patients with lung problems or asthma, breathing can already be difficult without any added complications caused by a blocked sinus. The process is safe with very few side effects if any at all.
The body responds well to sinus irrigation and the various methods will work to improve sinus problems massively.
Sinus irrigation can be a key part of a good health and hygiene routine. In addition to the beneficial effect which sinus irrigation can have on breathing problems.
It can also help to relieve chronic sinusitis as well as facial pain and headaches. These problems can often be caused by sinus related problems. A blocked sinus can cause pressure and results in headaches.
By flushing out the nasal cavity with salt water you can increase the bodies ability to clear mucus naturally. When this material is cleared it helps to prevent future blockages and build up of mucus.
The act of flushing is not the only benefit of the treatment, the salt water saline solution which is used has the added effect of loosening and thinning the consistency of any remaining mucus which makes it much easier to clear naturally. When this build up of problem mucus is cleared the small hairs in the sinus are allowed to complete their natural function.
When these hairs are blocked with dried mucus they are not able to push mucus to a position where it can be cleared naturally to allow clear breathing.

It’s a nasty condition. I had developed asthma as a kid, and those were some of the lowest times of my life. My asthma was due to high humidity levels and extreme temperatures. Happily once I moved to a cooler, dryer region my symptoms substantially lessened.
Wohh just what I was looking for, thanks for posting.
